Latvia's 90th anniversary to be celebrated in Germany

RIGA, Nov 11 (LETA) - On Monday, November 17, the Embassy of Latvia in Germany will mark the 90th anniversary of independence of Latvia with a festive concert, opening of an exhibition and a reception at the Berlin Town Hall.

At the beginning of the concert, the Ambassador of Latvia to Germany Ilgvars Klava will greet the invitees with a salutatory address, as LETA was informed by the Embassy of Latvia in Berlin.

Online souvenir store launches ahead of November 18 Independence Day

RIGA, Nov 10 (LETA) - The first specialty Internet store "www.lvsouvenirs.lv" has launched, offering products and souvenirs decorated with the 90th Anniversary of Latvia logo, as LETA learned from the Defense Ministry Organizational Department.

The Internet store offers various souvenirs decorated with the 90th Anniversary logo: clay mugs, glasses, various articles of wood, toys, linen bags, tablecloths, lanterns, candelabras, calendars, the national flag of Latvia, and many more.

Reception in honor of Latvia's 90th jubilee held in Strasbourg

RIGA, Nov 7 (LETA) - Today the Permanent Representation of Latvia at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg hosts a festive reception in honor of the 90th anniversary of Latvia.

Latvia's 90th anniversary to be celebrated in Russia as well

RIGA, Nov 7 (LETA) - The Embassy of Latvia in Russia will organize a number of events to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Republic of Latvia, as the embassy informed LETA.

On November 8, the Latvian Embassy in Russia will hold a reception and a concert by the Moscow Latvian Culture Society choir, which will be attended by Latvians residing in Moscow and students from Latvia.

RIGA, Nov 6 (LETA) - In celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Latvia, the American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia will host a special luncheon tomorrow, November 7, as the Chamber Executive Director Liga Bertulsone told LETA.

Latvia's Belt of Unity to travel to Riga soon

RIGA, Oct 31 (LETA) - From November 14 through November 18, Latvia's Belt of Unity will be brought to Riga where it will be put on display at Esplanade Park, as the Defense Ministry informed LETA.

The campaign "Latvia's Belt of Unity" has been under way since May this year. The Belt of Unity is, on one side, decorated with traditional Latvian ornaments, and on the other side it contains people's wishes to Latvia - everybody is welcome to congratulate to Latvia on its 90th Independence Day jubilee.
